Akiyo Noguchi

Akiyo Noguchi, born on May thirtieth, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished Japanese professional rock climber renowned for her exceptional skills in both competition bouldering and outdoor bouldering, as well as sport climbing.

Her remarkable achievements include winning the IFSC Climbing World Cup in Bouldering four times, showcasing her dominance in the sport on an international level. In her home country, she made history by winning the Bouldering Japan Cup nine consecutive times from two thousand five to two thousand fourteen, a feat unmatched by any other Japanese athlete.

In addition to her numerous accolades, Akiyo represented her country at the highest level, competing in the 2020 Summer Olympics where she secured a bronze medal. This achievement marked a significant milestone in her career, leading to her retirement from competition climbing.
