Al-Qurtubi

Al-Qurtubi, born in the year twelve fourteen, was a distinguished Andalusian Sunni Muslim polymath whose contributions to theology and jurisprudence have left a lasting impact. Renowned as a Maliki jurisconsult, he excelled in various fields, including tafsir, or Quranic exegesis, and hadith studies, showcasing his profound understanding of Islamic texts.

His education was shaped by prominent scholars in Córdoba, Spain, where he honed his expertise in the Arabic language and Islamic sciences. Al-Qurtubi's most notable work, the classical commentary of the Quran titled Tafsir al-Qurtubi, is celebrated for its depth and clarity, making it a significant reference for scholars and students alike.
