Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Jabbār al-Ḥasanī wal-Ḥusaynī al-Shādhilī, commonly known as Sheikh al-Shadhili, was born in the year eleven ninety-seven.
