Al-Tahawi

Al-Tahawi, born on the nineteenth of August in the year eight hundred fifty-three, was a prominent Egyptian Arab Hanafi jurist and Traditionalist theologian. His early education was significantly influenced by his uncle, al-Muzani, with whom he initially studied Shafi'i jurisprudence. However, Al-Tahawi later transitioned to the Hanafi school, marking a pivotal shift in his scholarly journey.

Throughout his life, Al-Tahawi made substantial contributions to Islamic thought, most notably through his seminal work, al-'Aqidah al-Tahawiyyah. This influential text serves as a concise summary of Sunni Islamic creed and has left a lasting impact on the Hanafi community in Egypt.
