Albano Antonio Carrisi, widely known as Al Bano, was born on May 20, 1943, in Italy. He has established himself as a multifaceted artist, excelling as a singer, actor, songwriter, composer, and screenwriter. Over a remarkable career that spans seven decades, he has sold more than twenty-five million records worldwide, making him one of the most recognizable figures in Italian music.

Al Bano's vocal prowess is particularly noteworthy, boasting a four and a half octave range that has captivated audiences globally. His unique ability to blend operatic elements with pop, rock, and italo disco genres has set him apart in the music industry. His partnership with Romina Power, the daughter of Hollywood star Tyrone Power, further elevated his fame, with their collaboration lasting until the 1990s.
