Albin Ekdal

Albin Ekdal, born on July twenty-eight, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished former professional footballer from Sweden, renowned for his role as a defensive midfielder. He is also recognized as the elder brother of fellow footballer Hjalmar Ekdal.

Ekdal's football journey began at Brommapojkarna, but it was in Italy where he truly made his mark. Over the course of his career, he accumulated more than three hundred appearances in Serie A, representing notable clubs such as Cagliari, Juventus, Siena, Bologna, Sampdoria, and Spezia. His talent also took him to Germany, where he spent three years competing in the Bundesliga with Hamburger SV.

On the international stage, Ekdal was a full international player for Sweden from two thousand eleven to two thousand twenty-three, earning seventy caps.
