Alena Kostornaia

Alena Kostornaia, born on August twenty-fourth, two thousand three, is a prominent Russian figure skater known for her remarkable achievements on the ice. She captured the title of European champion in two thousand twenty and triumphed at the 2019–20 Grand Prix Final, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

Her accolades include being a six-time Grand Prix medalist, with gold medals at the 2019 Internationaux de France and the 2019 NHK Trophy, as well as the champion of the 2019 CS Finlandia Trophy. Domestically, she has earned three medals at the Russian senior national championships, securing silver in two thousand twenty and bronze in both two thousand eighteen and two thousand nineteen.

At the junior level, Kostornaia has also made her mark, earning the silver medal at the 2018 Junior World Championships and winning the 2018–19 Junior Grand Prix Final. She is a two-time Russian junior national silver medalist and currently holds the world record for the highest junior short program score in women's skating.

Notably, Kostornaia is the tenth woman in history to successfully land the triple Axel jump in a senior international competition. She has also achieved the remarkable feat of attempting and landing the maximum number of triple jumps allowed in a single senior international competition, accomplishing this at the 2019 Internationaux de France and later executing all twelve triples cleanly at the 2019–20 Grand Prix Final.
