Aleš Valenta

Aleš Valenta, born on February 6, 1973, in Šumperk, Czechoslovakia, is a distinguished former Czech freestyle skier renowned for his remarkable achievements in aerials. His most notable accomplishment came during the Winter Olympics on February 19, 2002, where he clinched the gold medal in the freestyle aerials competition. Valenta made history by executing the first triple back flip with five twists, a feat that solidified his legacy in the sport.

Beyond his Olympic success, Valenta has made significant contributions to the world of freestyle skiing. He operates a freestyle skiing centre in the town of Štíty, fostering the next generation of athletes and promoting the sport he loves.

In addition to his athletic prowess, Valenta showcased his versatility by winning the second season of StarDance in December 2007, partnering with the talented Iva Langerová. This victory highlighted his charisma and ability to captivate audiences beyond the slopes.
