Alex Henry Foster

Alex Henry Foster, born on November nineteenth, nineteen eighty-nine, is a multifaceted Canadian artist renowned for his contributions as a singer, musician, writer, and activist. He is best recognized as the frontman of the Montreal-based band Your Favorite Enemies, which he co-founded in two thousand six. The band garnered significant acclaim, including a Juno Award nomination for their album Between Illness and Migration in two thousand fifteen.

In two thousand eighteen, Foster embarked on a solo career with the release of his debut project, Windows in the Sky, through Hopeful Tragedy Records and Sony Music / The Orchard. The album achieved remarkable success, debuting at number six on the Billboard Canadian Albums Chart shortly after its release. His solo work earned him a nomination at ADISQ in two thousand nineteen for Anglophone Album of the Year.

Foster's live performances have also been met with enthusiasm, as evidenced by his first live album, Standing Under Bright Lights, released on April sixteenth, two thousand twenty-one. This album, recorded during a sold-out concert at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, received critical acclaim and charted impressively across various international music charts.
