Alexander Efimkin

Alexander Efimkin, born on December second, nineteen eighty-one, is a distinguished Russian former professional road bicycle racer and sporting director. His professional cycling career spanned from two thousand six to two thousand twelve, during which he represented notable teams such as Barloworld, Quick-Step, Ag2r–La Mondiale, and Team Type 1–Sanofi.

Efimkin made a significant impact on the cycling scene in two thousand five, achieving a remarkable second place overall at the Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda, a prestigious and competitive race. This early success marked the beginning of his journey as a competent professional racer, although his career was characterized by a focus on supporting the star riders of his teams rather than accumulating numerous victories.

In addition to his racing career, Efimkin transitioned into a role as a directeur sportif, showcasing his leadership and strategic skills. He served as the sporting director for the Russian Helicopters team in two thousand thirteen, followed by the RusVelo Women's Team in the same year, and later the men's RusVelo team in two thousand fourteen and two thousand fifteen.
