Alexander Lukashenko

Alexander Lukashenko, born on August 30, 1954, in Kopys, is a prominent Belarusian politician who has held the title of the first and only president of Belarus since the office was established in 1994. His tenure makes him the longest-serving president in Europe. Before entering the political arena, Lukashenko worked as a director of a state farm and served in the Soviet Border Troops and the Soviet Army, experiences that shaped his leadership style.
