Alexander Skarsgård

Alexander Skarsgård, born on August 25, 1976, is a renowned Swedish actor known for his versatile roles in film and television. He is the son of acclaimed actor Stellan Skarsgård and began his acting journey at the tender age of seven. However, he took a hiatus from the craft at thirteen to serve in the Swedish Navy, only to return to the screen later with renewed vigor.

His American film debut came in the comedy Zoolander in 2001, but it was his portrayal of Brad Colbert in the miniseries Generation Kill in 2008 that marked a significant turning point in his career. Skarsgård achieved international fame as the charismatic vampire Eric Northman in the hit series True Blood, which aired from 2008 to 2014, solidifying his status as a leading man in Hollywood.

Following his breakout role, Skarsgård showcased his talent in various films, including Melancholia, Battleship, and The Legend of Tarzan. His performance as an abusive husband in the critically acclaimed series Big Little Lies earned him both a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award, further establishing his reputation as a serious actor.
