Alexander Vandegrift

Alexander Vandegrift, born on March 13, 1887, was a distinguished United States Marine Corps four-star general and a Medal of Honor recipient. His military career was marked by exceptional leadership, particularly during World War II, where he commanded the 1st Marine Division in the pivotal Battle of Guadalcanal.
