Alexandre Alexeieff

Alexandre Alexeieff, born on April eighteenth, nineteen oh one, was a multifaceted Russian-born artist whose creative journey led him to Paris, where he made significant contributions to the world of animation and illustration.

Alongside his second wife, Claire Parker, who lived from nineteen oh six to nineteen eighty-one, Alexeieff co-invented the innovative pinscreen technique. This groundbreaking invention allowed for a unique form of animation that captivated audiences and set a new standard in the field.

Throughout his illustrious career, Alexeieff produced a total of six films utilizing the pinscreen, along with forty-one advertising films. His artistic talents extended beyond film, as he also illustrated forty-one books, showcasing his versatility as an artist and graphic creator.
