Alexandre Boulerice, born on June 18, 1973, is a prominent Canadian politician, journalist, and community organizer. He has been a dedicated member of the New Democratic Party (NDP) since his election to represent the riding of Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2011 federal election.
In his role within the NDP, Boulerice has taken on significant responsibilities, currently serving as the party's Quebec lieutenant. His leadership capabilities were further recognized when he was appointed Deputy Leader of the NDP on March 11, 2019, by party leader Jagmeet Singh.
Since the 2019 federal election, Boulerice has held the distinction of being the only NDP Member of Parliament from Quebec. This unique position has continued into the 2025 federal election, where he remains the sole NDP MP representing the region east of Winnipeg, highlighting his pivotal role in the party's presence in Quebec.
