Alexandru Chipciu

Alexandru Chipciu, born on May eighteenth, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished Romanian professional footballer currently captaining Liga I club Universitatea Cluj. Known for his versatility on the field, Chipciu primarily excels as a winger or attacking midfielder, but he has also showcased his skills as a false nine and wing-back throughout his career.

Chipciu began his senior career with FC Brașov before making a significant move to Steaua București in the winter of two thousand eleven. During his time in the capital, he achieved remarkable success, securing seven domestic trophies and establishing himself as a key player in the team.

In two thousand sixteen, he took a bold step by transferring abroad to join Anderlecht, where he contributed to winning a national title in his inaugural season. However, after facing challenges in maintaining his position, he was loaned to Sparta Prague. By the start of two thousand twenty, Chipciu returned to Romania, rejoining the defending champions CFR Cluj.

On the international stage, Chipciu has represented Romania at various youth levels, including the under-17 and under-19 teams, before making his senior debut in two thousand eleven. He was also part of the national squad that competed in the UEFA Euro two thousand sixteen, further solidifying his status as a prominent figure in Romanian football.
