Alexandru Cicâldău

Alexandru Cicâldău, born on July 8, 1997, is a talented Romanian professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Liga I club Universitatea Craiova. His football journey began at Viitorul Constanța, where he honed his skills before making a significant move to Universitatea Craiova in the summer of 2018.

During his time with Universitatea Craiova, Cicâldău made a remarkable impact, featuring in over one hundred league matches and contributing to the team's success by winning two domestic trophies. His impressive performances caught the attention of international clubs, leading to a transfer to Galatasaray in 2021 for an initial fee of six and a half million euros.

After a series of loan spells in the United Arab Emirates and Turkey, Cicâldău returned to Universitatea Craiova in 2024, marking a new chapter in his career.
