Alexandru Maxim

Alexandru Maxim, born on July eighth, nineteen ninety, is a distinguished Romanian professional footballer who currently serves as the captain and attacking midfielder for Süper Lig club Gaziantep.

Maxim began his professional journey in two thousand nine with the reserve team of Espanyol, where he made his debut. Following a loan spell at Badalona, he returned to Romania in two thousand eleven to play for Pandurii Târgu Jiu. His impressive performances caught the attention of scouts, leading to a move to Germany in two thousand thirteen.

During his time in Germany, Maxim showcased his talent in the Bundesliga, accumulating a total of one hundred and forty appearances and scoring fourteen goals while representing VfB Stuttgart and Mainz 05. After seven successful years in the German league, he transitioned to Turkish football in two thousand twenty, initially joining Gaziantep on loan.

On the international stage, Maxim made his debut for the Romania senior team in May two thousand twelve, contributing to a one-nil victory over Switzerland. Since then, he has earned over fifty caps, solidifying his position as a key player for his national team.
