Alexandru Mitriță

Alexandru Mitriță, born on February 8, 1995, is a talented Romanian professional footballer known for his versatility as an attacking midfielder and winger. Currently, he plays for Zhejiang FC in the Chinese Super League, showcasing his skills on an international stage.

Mitriță began his career in Romania, where he represented several clubs before making a significant move to Italy's Pescara in 2015 at the age of twenty. His time in Italy was marked by growth and development, leading to a return to his roots on loan at Universitatea Craiova. There, he quickly established himself as a key player, helping the team secure the Cupa României during the 2017–18 season.

In 2019, his impressive performances caught the attention of Major League Soccer, resulting in a transfer to New York City FC for a substantial fee of eight million euros. His journey continued with loan spells in Saudi Arabia and Greece, but he ultimately returned to Craiova in the summer of 2023, reaffirming his commitment to his hometown club.

On the international front, Mitriță has represented Romania at various youth levels before making his senior debut in March 2018. He marked his first goal for the national team on October 12, 2019, contributing to a convincing three-nil victory over the Faroe Islands.
