Alexei Eremenko, born on March twenty-four, nineteen eighty-three, in Rostov-on-Don, Soviet Union, is a former professional footballer known for his versatility as a midfielder and his expertise in set pieces. Growing up in Finland, he emerged from a footballing family, with his father Aleksei Yeryomenko and brothers Roman and Sergei Eremenko also making their mark in the sport.

Eremenko's professional journey began with HJK in two thousand two, where he quickly made a name for himself. After a brief and less impactful stint with Italian club Lecce, he found his footing at Russian club Saturn, where his performances garnered attention. In two thousand nine, he transferred to Metalist Kharkiv, but his career saw him loaned out multiple times, most notably to Kilmarnock, where he was nominated for the Players' Player of the Year award during the two thousand ten to eleven season.

In January two thousand fourteen, Eremenko returned to Kilmarnock on a permanent basis. However, after unsuccessful contract negotiations, he continued his career in Finland, ultimately retiring from professional football in two thousand seventeen. Throughout his career, he represented the Finnish national team from two thousand three to two thousand thirteen, earning fifty-seven caps and scoring fourteen goals, with a significant contribution during the two thousand six World Cup qualifying campaign.
