Alexis Pinturault, born on March 20, 1991, in Moûtiers, France, is a distinguished former World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympic medalist. With an impressive tally of thirty-four World Cup victories, he holds the title of the most successful French skier in the history of the World Cup.
Throughout his illustrious career, Pinturault represented France at seven World Championships and three Winter Olympics, where he earned four bronze medals in the giant slalom. His remarkable talent culminated in being crowned the overall World Cup champion in 2021.
In addition to his World Cup achievements, Pinturault is a double combined world champion, having secured titles in 2019 and 2023. He also triumphed in the team event at the World Championships in 2017 and was a two-time world junior champion in giant slalom, winning in 2009 and 2011.
