Alf Martinsen

Alf Martinsen, born on December twenty-ninth, nineteen eleven, was a distinguished Norwegian football player and coach. His athletic prowess was showcased on the international stage when he represented Norway at the 1936 Summer Olympics, where the team secured a bronze medal in the football tournament.

Martinsen's football journey began with the workers' team Fram, based in Lillestrøm, before he made a significant move to Lillestrøm SK, where he further honed his skills and contributed to the club's legacy.

In addition to his playing career, Martinsen transitioned into coaching, taking the helm at Lillestrøm SK from nineteen forty-seven to nineteen fifty, and again from nineteen fifty-two to nineteen fifty-three. His leadership during these formative years helped shape the future of the club.

Although he participated in the nineteen thirty-eight FIFA World Cup, Martinsen did not see any match action during the tournament. His contributions to Norwegian football, both on and off the pitch, remain a testament to his dedication to the sport.
