Alf Skinner, born on January 26, 1896, was a prominent Canadian ice hockey right winger whose career spanned from 1913 to 1930. He made a significant impact in the world of ice hockey, playing for various teams across the National Hockey Association, National Hockey League, and Pacific Coast Hockey Association.
Among the teams he represented, Skinner's longest tenure was with the Vancouver Millionaires, later known as the Maroons, in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association. His time with the Millionaires solidified his reputation as a skilled player in the league.
In 1918, while playing for the Toronto Arenas, Skinner achieved the pinnacle of success by winning the Stanley Cup. During this championship run, he set four NHL records that astonishingly remain unbroken over a century later.
