Alfonso Cuarón

Alfonso Cuarón, born on November 28, 1961, is a distinguished Mexican filmmaker renowned for his multifaceted contributions to cinema as a director, screenwriter, producer, editor, and cinematographer. His career began with the romantic comedy Sólo con tu pareja in 1991, which marked his feature film debut and set the stage for his future successes.

Cuarón gained international acclaim with his 2001 coming-of-age film Y tu mamá también, which not only earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay but also won the Venice Film Festival Award for Best Screenplay.
