His political journey took a significant turn when he was summoned to the Senate of Canada in nineteen thirty-three, representing the senatorial division of Ottawa, Ontario. He continued to serve in this esteemed position until his passing in nineteen thirty-eight at his home in Ottawa.

In his personal life, Fripp married Clementine Bell in eighteen ninety-four, marking the beginning of a partnership that would accompany him through his political endeavors.
