Alfred Ernest Fripp

Alfred Ernest Fripp, born on June twenty-ninth, eighteen sixty-six, in Ottawa, Ontario, was a prominent Canadian lawyer and politician. He was the son of Sidney Bowles Fripp and carved a notable path in the political landscape of Canada.

Fripp's political career began when he was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the riding of Ottawa (City of) during the federal elections of nineteen eleven. As a member of the Conservative Party, he successfully secured re-election in nineteen seventeen, showcasing his commitment to public service.

In nineteen twenty-one, however, Fripp faced defeat in his bid for re-election. His political journey took a significant turn when he was summoned to the Senate of Canada in nineteen thirty-three, representing the senatorial division of Ottawa, Ontario. He continued to serve in this esteemed position until his passing in nineteen thirty-eight at his home in Ottawa.

In his personal life, Fripp married Clementine Bell in eighteen ninety-four, marking the beginning of a partnership that would accompany him through his political endeavors.
