Alfred Freddy Krupa

Alfred Freddy Krupa, born on June 14, 1971, is a distinguished Croatian painter, art educator, photographer, book artist, and draftsperson. He graduated from the University of Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts in 1995, marking the beginning of a prolific career in the arts.

Krupa gained significant recognition in 1990 through the popular Yugoslav weekly 'Vikend/Weekend'. His influence in the art world was further solidified with the publication of the 'New Ink Art Manifesto' in 1996, followed by his academic pursuit at Tokyo Gakugei University in 1998. Author Milica Jović highlighted his pivotal role in the Western New Ink Art movement in her article for Highlark Magazine.

His contributions to the art community have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by the prestigious awards he received, including the Order of Danica Hrvatska on April 26, 2023, and The City of Karlovac Award on July 13, 2023. Furthermore, his works have been recognized by major institutions, with reports indicating that they have entered the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
