Ali Zeidan

Ali Zeidan, born on December fifteenth, nineteen fifty, is a prominent Libyan politician and diplomat, known for his tenure as the Prime Minister of Libya. Appointed by the General National Congress on October fourteenth, two thousand twelve, he officially took office a month later, following the approval of his cabinet nominees.

Before the onset of the Libyan Civil War, Zeidan established himself as a human rights lawyer based in Geneva. His legal background and advocacy for human rights have shaped his political views, leading some local observers to regard him as a strong-minded liberal.

However, his political journey faced significant challenges. On March fourteenth, two thousand fourteen, he was ousted by a parliamentary committee, prompting him to flee Libya. Despite this, Zeidan publicly declared the ousting invalid during a press conference held in Rabat, Morocco, asserting his commitment to his political ideals.
