Aliénor Rougeot

Aliénor Rougeot, born on January twenty-second, nineteen ninety-nine, is a prominent Canadian-French climate justice activist. She has made significant strides in raising awareness about climate change, particularly through her role as a leader in the Fridays for Future movement in Toronto.

Rougeot gained national recognition in Canada as an organizer of Climate Strikes, where she inspired thousands of students to participate in protests aimed at demanding action on climate issues. In two thousand nineteen, she spearheaded a major school strike for climate in Toronto, which attracted over fifty thousand participants, showcasing the urgency of the climate crisis.

Currently, she is affiliated with Environmental Defence Canada, where she leads initiatives focused on accelerating the energy transition and addressing environmental injustices. Her work continues to influence and mobilize communities towards a more sustainable future.
