Almudena Cid

Almudena Cid, born on June fifteenth, nineteen eighty, is a distinguished former Spanish rhythmic gymnast who made her mark on the international stage as a member of the Spanish national team. Notably, she is the only rhythmic gymnast to have competed in four Olympic finals, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

Her Olympic journey began in Atlanta in nineteen ninety-six, where she became the first Spanish gymnast to reach the finals. She continued to break barriers by competing in the finals at three additional Olympic Games: Sydney in two thousand, Athens in two thousand four, and Beijing in two thousand eight. Cid's remarkable achievements also include winning a gold medal at the XVth Mediterranean Games in Almería in two thousand five.

Throughout her illustrious career, which spanned over twenty-one years, Almudena received numerous accolades, including the prestigious gold medal in the Royal Order of Sports Merit in two thousand nine.
