Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Alpha Condé

Alpha Condé, born on March fourth, nineteen thirty-eight, is a prominent Guinean politician and author who made history as the fourth president of Guinea, serving from two thousand ten to two thousand twenty-one. His political journey was marked by decades of opposition against various regimes, including two unsuccessful presidential bids against Lansana Conté in the early nineties.

In the two thousand ten presidential election, Condé emerged victorious in a second round of voting, becoming the first freely elected president in Guinea's history. He pledged to enhance democracy and combat corruption in the nation. His leadership was characterized by a commitment to democratic principles, although his tenure was not without controversy.

Condé was reelected in two thousand fifteen, securing approximately fifty-eight percent of the vote, and again in two thousand twenty with fifty-nine point five percent after a contentious constitutional referendum that allowed him to extend his term limit. This decision ignited widespread protests, which were met with severe repression, and allegations of electoral fraud marred both elections.

In addition to his presidential duties, Condé took on a significant role in regional politics, succeeding Idriss Déby as head of the African Union in January two thousand seventeen, a position he held until January two thousand eighteen. However, his presidency came to an abrupt end on September fifth, two thousand twenty-one, when he was arrested and overthrown by the Guinea Armed Forces.
