Altin Lala, born on November eighteenth, nineteen seventy-five, is a distinguished Albanian former professional footballer and current football coach. He is best known for his role as a defensive midfielder, having spent the majority of his playing career in Germany, particularly with Hannover 96, where he became a pivotal figure in the club's history.

Raised in Tirana, Lala's football journey began at the youth academy of Dinamo Tirana. His career took a significant turn in nineteen ninety-one when he defected to Germany while representing the Albania under-16 team. After honing his skills at SpVgg Hosenfeld, he joined Borussia Fulda in nineteen ninety-four, where his impressive performances in the Regionalliga Süd caught the attention of higher-tier clubs, leading to his transfer to Hannover 96 in nineteen ninety-eight.

During his fourteen-year tenure with Hannover 96, Lala made over three hundred competitive appearances, establishing himself as one of the club's most influential players. His leadership qualities shone through as he captained the team for several seasons, contributing to their promotion to the Bundesliga in two thousand two. Despite facing injuries later in his career, he made a memorable European debut in the two thousand eleven to two thousand twelve UEFA Europa League, helping the team reach the quarter-finals before his farewell match in May two thousand twelve.

After a brief retirement, Lala joined Bayern Munich II in two thousand twelve, but injuries soon curtailed his playing career.
