Alvise Pisani

Alvise Pisani, born in the year sixteen sixty-four, rose to prominence as the one hundred fourteenth Doge of Venice, a position he held from the seventeenth of January, seventeen thirty-five, until his passing. His tenure as Doge was marked by a deep commitment to the Venetian state and its diplomatic relations.

A member of the esteemed Pisani family, Alvise's career was rooted in diplomacy. Before ascending to the role of Doge, he served as Venice's ambassador to several key nations, including France, Austria, and Spain. His extensive experience in international relations and governance also included serving as a councilor to previous Doges, which equipped him with the insights necessary for effective leadership.

Alvise Pisani's legacy continued through his successor, Pietro Grimani, who took over the mantle of leadership following his death. His dogaressa, Elena Badoero, stood by him during his time in office, contributing to the cultural and political fabric of Venice.
