Amina Okueva

Amina Okueva, born on June fifth, nineteen eighty-three, was a remarkable individual whose life intertwined the fields of medicine and military service. A Ukrainian-born physician of Chechen-Polish descent, she was not only a dedicated doctor but also a passionate activist during the Euromaidan protests in Ukraine.

During the tumultuous times of the Euromaidan, Amina served as a medic in the Kyiv-2 battalion, providing critical care to those injured in the conflict. Her commitment to her country and her fellow citizens led her to the front lines, where she witnessed the harrowing realities of war, particularly during the battle in Debaltseve in two thousand fifteen, after the city fell to Russian-aligned rebels.

Amina's life was tragically cut short on October thirtieth, two thousand seventeen, when she was ambushed by unknown attackers. This incident not only claimed her life but also left her husband, Adam Osmayev, a leader of the Dzhokhar Dudayev Battalion, injured but alive. Amina's legacy as a courageous medic and soldier continues to inspire many.
