Amy Mainzer

Amy Mainzer, born on January second, nineteen seventy-four, is a distinguished American astronomer and astrophysicist renowned for her expertise in astrophysical instrumentation and infrared astronomy.

She has made significant contributions to the field, notably serving as the deputy project scientist for the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer. In this role, she played a crucial part in advancing our understanding of the universe.

As the principal investigator for the NEOWISE extension, Mainzer focuses on studying minor planets, further enhancing our knowledge of these celestial bodies.
