Amy Schumer, born on June 1, 1981, is a multifaceted American talent known for her work as a stand-up comedian, actress, writer, producer, and director. She began her journey in comedy in the early 2000s, gaining national attention as a contestant on the fifth season of NBC's reality competition series, Last Comic Standing, in 2007.
From 2013 to 2016, Schumer showcased her creative prowess as the creator, co-producer, co-writer, and star of the acclaimed Comedy Central sketch series, Inside Amy Schumer. Her work on the show earned her a Peabody Award and five Primetime Emmy Award nominations, culminating in a win for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series in 2015.
Schumer made her film debut in 2015 with the comedy Trainwreck, which she also wrote, earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical.
