Anaïs Mitchell, born on March twenty-six, nineteen eighty-one, is a multifaceted American artist known for her work as a composer, singer-songwriter, guitarist, and playwright. Over the years, she has released eight studio albums, showcasing her evolution as a musician. Notable works include 'Hadestown' in two thousand ten, 'Young Man in America' in two thousand twelve, 'Child Ballads' in two thousand thirteen, and her self-titled album 'Anaïs Mitchell' in two thousand twenty-two.

Mitchell's acclaimed album 'Hadestown' transcended its musical roots, evolving into a stage musical in collaboration with director Rachel Chavkin.
