Anastasia Rodionova

Anastasia Rodionova, born on May twelfth, nineteen eighty-two, is a former professional tennis player who represented Australia after her origins in Russia. Throughout her career, she made a significant mark on the WTA Tour, securing eleven doubles titles and achieving notable success on the ITF Circuit with eight singles and thirteen doubles titles.

Rodionova reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. sixty-two on August sixteenth, two thousand ten, and later peaked at No. fifteen in the doubles rankings on September eighth, two thousand fourteen. Her most remarkable accomplishments came in doubles, highlighted by her appearance in the finals of the mixed-doubles event at the prestigious Wimbledon Championships in two thousand three alongside partner Andy Ram, and reaching the semifinals of the women's doubles at the two thousand ten US Open with Cara Black.

Despite her successes, Rodionova's career was not without controversy. She is one of only four players in WTA history to be defaulted from a tournament, an incident that occurred at the two thousand seven Western & Southern Open when she inadvertently hit a ball towards spectators.

In addition to her individual achievements, Anastasia shares her passion for tennis with her younger sister, Arina, who is also a professional player.
