Anatoliy Banishevskiy

His career as a forward was predominantly spent with Neftçi, the club that became synonymous with his name. On the international stage, Banishevskiy represented the Soviet Union national football team, earning fifty-one caps and netting twenty goals. His remarkable talent was showcased during the nineteen sixty-six FIFA World Cup, as well as in the European Championships of nineteen sixty-eight and nineteen seventy-two. His prowess on the field was further highlighted by his impressive tally of one hundred thirty-six goals in the Soviet Top League.
