Anatoly Antonov

Anatoly Antonov, born on May fifteenth, nineteen fifty-five, is a prominent Russian diplomat and military official. He has held significant positions within the Russian government, including serving as the Ambassador of Russia to the United States from two thousand seventeen to two thousand twenty-four. His appointment came through a presidential decree on August twenty-first, two thousand seventeen, succeeding Sergey Kislyak, and he officially began his duties in Washington, D.C. on September first.

Before his ambassadorship, Antonov was a Deputy Minister of Defence and a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, showcasing his extensive experience in international relations and military affairs. He holds the civilian service rank of 1st class Active State Councillor of the Russian Federation, reflecting his high standing within the government.
