From nineteen thirty-six to nineteen forty-two, Clot worked for the news agency Agence Havas, where he honed his skills in journalism. Following this, he served at Radio-Brazzaville from nineteen forty-three to nineteen forty-five, before joining Agence France-Presse (AFP) in nineteen forty-five, where he remained until his retirement.
