Andre Geim

Andre Geim, born on October twenty-first, nineteen fifty-eight, is a distinguished physicist and inventor, currently serving as a professor at the University of Manchester in the School of Physics and Astronomy. Originally from Russia, Geim has made significant contributions to the field of physics, particularly in the study of graphene, a groundbreaking material.

In recognition of his pioneering work, Geim was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in two thousand ten, sharing this prestigious honor with Konstantin Novoselov. At that time, he held Dutch citizenship, but he later became a British citizen to accept a knighthood, identifying himself as Dutch-British.
