Andre Gray, born on June 26, 1991, in England, is a professional footballer who currently plays as a centre-forward for EFL League One club Port Vale. His journey in football began at a young age when he moved from the Academy at Wolverhampton Wanderers to the youth system at Shrewsbury Town at just thirteen years old. He turned professional in 2009 and quickly made a name for himself during loan spells at AFC Telford United and Hinckley United, eventually joining Hinckley permanently in June 2010.

Gray's impressive performance at Hinckley, where he scored thirty-seven goals in eighty-five appearances, earned him a move to Luton Town in May 2012. During the 2013–14 season, he became the top scorer in the Conference Premier and was named in the Team of the Season, helping Luton secure promotion back to the English Football League as champions. His talent was recognized at the international level as well, earning six caps and scoring two goals for England C.

In June 2014, Gray made a significant step up by signing with Brentford in the Championship. His career continued to flourish when he was sold to Burnley for a club-record fee of six million pounds in August 2015. He had a standout season in 2015–16, finishing as the Championship's top scorer with thirty goals and being named the Championship Player of the Year. His contributions were vital in Burnley’s promotion to the Premier League.

Gray's Premier League journey included a memorable hat-trick and a crucial role in helping Burnley avoid relegation. He later transferred to Watford in August 2017, where he played in the 2019 FA Cup final. After a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers during the 2021–22 season, he had brief stints with clubs in Greece, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and ultimately returned to England with Port Vale. Off the pitch, Gray married Leigh-Anne Pinnock, a member of the British girl group Little Mix, in 2023.
