Andrea Anderson, born on September seventeenth, nineteen seventy-seven, is a distinguished American track and field athlete, celebrated for her remarkable achievements as a sprinter. She gained international recognition when she was part of the gold medal-winning 4 × 400 meters relay team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Although her team was later disqualified due to Marion Jones' admission of using performance-enhancing drugs, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in favor of the team in July two thousand ten, restoring their medals.
Anderson's athletic journey began at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, where she formed a formidable sprinting duo with Aminah Haddad. Together, they finished just behind Jones in both the 1992 and 1993 CIF California State Meet for the 100 meters and 200 meters.
