Andrea de Cesaris

Andrea de Cesaris was an Italian racing driver renowned for his dynamic presence in the world of Formula One. Competing from 1980 to 1994, he participated in a remarkable two hundred and eight Grands Prix, a testament to his enduring passion for motorsport.

Despite his extensive career, de Cesaris held the record for the most races without a victory from nineteen eighty-nine until it was surpassed by Nico Hülkenberg at the twenty twenty-four Miami Grand Prix. His early years were marked by a series of accidents, which contributed to his reputation as a fast yet unpredictable driver on the track.

In addition to his Formula One career, de Cesaris showcased his skills in the Grand Prix Masters series for retired Formula One drivers during two thousand five and two thousand six. His legacy in racing is remembered for both his speed and the thrilling excitement he brought to the sport.

Tragically, Andrea de Cesaris passed away on October fifth, two thousand fourteen, after losing control of his motorcycle on Rome's Grande Raccordo Anulare motorway, leaving behind a rich history in the world of racing.
