Beginning her professional career at just fourteen, she quickly ascended the ranks, achieving the impressive feat of being the second-ranked female tennis player in the world by the age of sixteen. Her remarkable talent shone through as she reached the singles finals at both the French Open in nineteen eighty-two and Wimbledon in nineteen eighty-three, alongside semifinal appearances at the Australian Open and the U.S. Open.

Throughout her career, Jaeger secured ten singles titles and made a significant impact in mixed doubles, winning the French Open with partner Jimmy Arias in nineteen eighty-one.
