Andrej Kramarić, born on June 19, 1991, is a distinguished Croatian professional footballer who excels as a forward and attacking midfielder. Currently, he plays for Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim and represents the Croatia national team. Kramarić's football journey began in his hometown with Dinamo Zagreb, where he made a significant impact as the top youth goalscorer in the club's history, debuting at the young age of seventeen.
In 2013, following a dispute with the Dinamo board, Kramarić transferred to HNK Rijeka. His remarkable performance there saw him net thirty-seven goals in just forty-two league appearances, which paved the way for a record transfer to Leicester City for nine million pounds. After a year and a half with Leicester, he spent time on loan at TSG Hoffenheim, eventually making a permanent move to the club.
On March 29, 2019, Kramarić etched his name in the history books by becoming Hoffenheim's all-time top goalscorer. His prowess continued to shine as he became the Bundesliga's all-time top Croatian goalscorer on January 24, 2021. By January 15, 2026, he had also achieved the remarkable feat of being the most capped Croatian player in the Bundesliga and the Croatian player with the most goals in professional football, surpassing legends Zvonimir Soldo and Davor Šuker.
Internationally, Kramarić has represented Croatia at various youth levels, earning fifty-three caps and scoring twenty-two goals. He participated in the 2010 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, contributing to the team's semi-final run. Making his senior debut in 2014, he has since played in three UEFA European Championships (2016, 2020, and 2024) and two FIFA World Cups (2018 and 2022), playing a vital role in Croatia's journey to the final in 2018.
