Andrey Borisenko

Andrey Borisenko, born on April seventeenth, nineteen sixty-four, is a distinguished Russian cosmonaut and engineer. His journey into space began when he was selected as a cosmonaut in May two thousand three, marking the start of a remarkable career in human spaceflight.

During his first long-duration mission, Borisenko served as a flight engineer aboard Soyuz TMA-21 for Expedition 27, which was the twenty-seventh mission to the International Space Station (ISS). His expertise and leadership were further showcased when he took command of the ISS during Expedition 28, demonstrating his capabilities in managing complex space operations.

In October two thousand sixteen, Borisenko launched for his second mission on Soyuz MS-02, where he served as a flight engineer for both Expedition 49 and Expedition 50. His return to Earth in April two thousand seventeen marked the conclusion of another successful chapter in his career, solidifying his status as a veteran of space exploration.
