Andriy Biletsky

Andriy Biletsky, born on August fifth, nineteen seventy-nine, is a prominent Ukrainian far-right politician and brigadier general. He currently leads the National Corps political party and commands the 3rd Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. Biletsky emerged as a significant figure in the far-right movement during the early two thousands, notably reviving the nationalist organization Patriot of Ukraine in two thousand five and co-founding the Social-National Assembly, both of which have been associated with ethnic nationalism and controversial ideologies.

In two thousand eleven, Biletsky faced legal troubles when he was arrested on charges of robbery and assault. However, following the Euromaidan Revolution in early two thousand fourteen, he was released, as the new government viewed him as a political prisoner of the previous regime. As tensions escalated in the Donbas region, he leveraged his leadership within the far-right to establish a volunteer militia aimed at countering Pro-Russian separatists.
