Androulla Vassiliou

Androulla Vassiliou, born on November thirtieth, nineteen forty-three, is a distinguished Cypriot politician and lawyer. Her career has been marked by significant contributions to both the European Union and the United Nations, where she has been actively involved in social and cultural initiatives.

From March two thousand eight to February two thousand ten, Vassiliou served as the European Commissioner for Health. Following this role, she took on the position of European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, a role she held until November two thousand fourteen. Her tenure in these positions showcased her commitment to improving health and education across Europe.
