Andrzej Seweryn

Andrzej Seweryn, born on April twenty-fifth, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished Polish actor and director, celebrated for his remarkable contributions to theatre and film. With a career spanning several decades, he has starred in over fifty films, primarily in Poland, France, and Germany, establishing himself as one of the most successful theatre actors in Poland.

Notably, Seweryn is one of only three non-French actors to have been engaged by the prestigious Comédie-Française in Paris, a testament to his exceptional talent and versatility. His portrayal of painter Zdzisław Beksiński in the biographical film The Last Family earned him the Polish Academy Award for Best Actor in two thousand seventeen, further solidifying his status in the cinematic world.

In two thousand twenty-three, he received the Polish Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his compelling performance in the drama film Śubuk. Currently, he serves as the director general of the Polski Theatre in Warsaw, where he continues to influence the Polish arts scene.
